Hi! I'm a 20-year-old emerging UX Designer with a Google Certification in UX Design. My passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing designs has led me to explore website design in Figma and flyer creation in Photoshop. These experiences have sharpened my design skills and deepened my understanding of user-centric principles. I'm excited to bring my creativity, fresh perspective, and enthusiasm for design to a team that values innovation and exceptional user experiences.

The project was centered on redesigning a user interface for a music streaming service similar to Spotify. The primary objective was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly experience that streamlines navigation, enhances functionality, and showcases a vast array of musical content, from recommended artists to popular tracks.
-
The project was completed over a period of four weeks. The initial week was dedicated to research and planning, followed by two weeks of design and iteration in Figma. The final week was spent on refinements and user testing to ensure usability and aesthetic appeal.
-
Throughout this project, I developed a range of skills:
UX Research and Planning: Learned how to gather user feedback and analyze competitor platforms to inform design decisions.
UI Design with Figma: Gained proficiency in Figma for creating high-fidelity mockups, including the use of grids, layers, and vector tools for detailed graphic work.
Typography and Color Theory: Enhanced understanding of typography and color theory to improve readability and visual hierarchy.
Graphic Design with Photoshop: Applied Photoshop skills to edit and optimize images for web use.
Prototyping and Interaction: Created interactive prototypes to simulate the user experience and test the flow of the interface.
Responsive Design: Ensured the design was adaptable to various screen sizes and devices.
-
Reflecting on the project, there were several valuable takeaways:
User-Centered Design: Prioritizing user needs was crucial. Iterative design based on user feedback led to a better end product.
Importance of Prototyping: Interactive prototypes were instrumental in identifying usability issues early on.
Time Management: Balancing aesthetics with functionality within the time constraints was challenging but rewarding.
Learning Curve: While there was a steep learning curve with some of the tools, the skills acquired are now integral to my design process.
Future Improvements: In future projects, I plan to integrate more user testing phases and explore advanced features in Figma to refine animations and transitions.
This project not only improved my technical skills but also my understanding of the design process as a whole, from conception to final product.

The project entailed designing a promotional flyer for "The Beauty Parlor," a distinguished salon and spa in New Jersey. The objective was to create an attractive flyer that would stand out to potential customers by clearly advertising the salon's services and prices.
-
2 weeks.
The project began with a consultation phase, during which the specific needs of the salon were discussed, including services, price points, and the overall brand image they wanted to convey. Following this, a draft layout was created, blending stylish typography with the salon's color scheme to create a cohesive look. High-resolution floral graphics were manipulated and incorporated to add a touch of elegance and sophistication, complementing the upscale image of the salon.
-
Throughout this process, several new skills were learned and existing ones were honed. Proficiency in Photoshop was enhanced, particularly in areas of layer management, text styling, and photo editing. The project also provided an opportunity to learn more about the nuances of design for print, including bleed, resolution, and color profiles, ensuring the final product would look just as intended when printed.
-
In retrospect, the project was an invaluable experience in client communication and fulfilling a specific design brief. Time management was a key learning point, as the initial design concepts needed several iterations based on client feedback. For future projects, incorporating client feedback more efficiently and allowing for more testing with print samples would further streamline the process. Overall, the project was a success, resulting in a flyer that the client was delighted with and that effectively attracted new customers to the salon.
Design Software Tools
I have demonstrated my adeptness with industry-standard digital media tools through my projects. For instance, I crafted a sophisticated and visually appealing flyer for a beauty salon using Photoshop, showcasing my ability to execute design concepts with precision. Additionally, I developed a music streaming service interface using Figma, a testament to my ability to navigate and utilize different digital design software fluently for diverse needs.
Attention to detail
Each project I've undertaken has been a meticulous exercise in attention to detail. From ensuring every price and service was clearly listed and attractively presented on the beauty salon flyer to the careful arrangement of navigational elements for the music streaming interface, I've shown a consistent ability to produce polished and detailed designs. This precision underlines my commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets client specifications and user needs.
Creative Design
My ability to think creatively and generate innovative design solutions is evident in my work. The beauty salon flyer reflects not just a keen eye for aesthetics, but also an understanding of how design communicates and attracts the target audience. Meanwhile, the music streaming service interface required imaginative planning to ensure an intuitive user experience, demonstrating my capacity to develop interactive designs that are both functional and engaging.
